The Sony A95K QD-OLED:

Despite only a handful of keynotes mentioning TVs, manufacturers continue to announce their 2022 lineups all week. The first is that Samsung is announcing new QLED TV models with mini-LED. The new range has a new, updated home screen UI with lots of organizational tweaks and NFT storage (yes, it's been a great year) and the ability to run at 144Hz when connected to Nvidia's 30 series GPUs. Samsung also announced a small line of MicroLEDs in the display - but given the at the price of this technology, we don't expect to see it in most homes every hour.

Sticking to its proven game plan at CES 2022, LG has announced two new OLED lineups – the C2 and G2 – that use the new Alpha a9 Gen 5 processor. The C2 lineup is available in 48-inch and 42-inch sizes, making it a great sensor for players.

New QNED models with better controls are expected to arrive this year to compete with the QLED TVs that Samsung has launched. One of the last manufacturers to announce their models was Sony - but they may have the most power in the set.
In fact, Sony is the only manufacturer to introduce an out-of-the-box QD OLED display in the form of the new A95K. It promises 200% color saturation on the LED LCD display with better black levels, better viewing angles and 4K / 120Hz support. Sounds like show-stopping TV to us, and one of the most exciting TVs to come this year.

Hisense and TCL also announced some noteworthy CES models. Hisense's 2022 lineup hits all the price points, and there's even a model called the U7K that could overtake the TCL 6 series as the mid-range model on retail shelves. Unfortunately, TCL has no news about the 6 series, but it is rumored to launch another version of the mini-LED technology this year. Problem? The TCL TV outing is expected to cost $9,999, so it's not exactly cheap.
